CONTIGUOUS SPACES

Contiguous Spaces proposes a reinterpretation of the meaning of domestic space and the needs of
its dweller/s in a space that has no physical boundaries.

The project outlines the main functions a domestic space should have in the metaverse, removing
everything that has no purpose in the virtual world (sleeping, eating, etc.).

Contiguous Spaces highlights functions of our daily life that can be remodelled in this new context,

such as rooms to engage with friends, working spaces or rooms for intimacy and meditation. It pro-
poses brand new spaces that would benefit the home in the virtual world, such as a selling space for

NFTs and virtual data, a storage for virtual objects and data or a deep learning space that activates
various senses.

The key factor of the project is the idea of Tangency and how the proximity of spaces is built through
an understanding of how the user would move from one space to the other. For instance, they might
go from the storage space, where they have just chosen their outfit to the gathering space and after
that to the space of intimacy; or for example, with the learning room tangent to the working space,
the project promotes the idea of skills and knowledge implementation in the office space.
